Cariocas love beach. They have an intensive beach culture there, it's an reference in their lifes, more than in anywhere in Brazil. Anyway, Brazilian are used to love the sea. I live in Belo Horizonte(not in São Paulo)and in my State there's no Sea, there's only mountains, watterfalls and rivers next to. Always we can we go to some beach city.
Moreover, in the Carnival season, multitude are normal in everywhere, in the hole Country. there's parties from South to North. Who doesn't like this goes to country areas for relaxing. Youngers normaly hunt up for "Folia", as we say.
