Miguel, Rio de Janeiro
Sun is in the sky. It's mid-june, which is WINTER in Rio de Janeiro BUT it is 32°C outside; waking up was easy, but getting up has never ...
NO, I'm not talking about London and this isn't a Bridget Jones's monologue, although it sounds like it, lol. It's been one month now ...

Has anybody ever heard about a place called Abricó in Rio de Janeiro? No, I bet they haven't. It's all the way in the western area of Rio, where slums and skyscrapers mix in a concrete jungle and men and monkeys, businesspeople and burglars live side by side in total harmony and they can even be proud to have the largest shopping centre in South America: Barra Shopping.
Anyway, once you get there, take your time and ask any local where The Abricó Beach is and they all know the answer (it's also the location of one of our 'novelas', you know we, Brazilians, are obsessed about them) and they go further, they would certainly give you a lift over there if in a good mood, lol.
It's a tropical paradise. It's cloudy but the water is clean as the sky on a summer morning. I can even see my foot through the sea. "was that a jellyfish? shit!" Were it not for the weird creatures in the water, I'd have stayed longer in it. ONE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEACHES IN RIO AND THE WEST ONES: you can see what's actually surrounding you in the water, which makes the south beaches much more attractives, lol)... Now, as I was saying, 'WHAT?" "Why are those people nak...ahhhhh" - Truth has hit me like a thunderbolt! It's a nude beach. "So, those aren't native indians?" lol again and over again. Well, if you can't beat them, join them: Being naked at the beach is so much fun. I know I hate the jellyfish but I MUST swim in the buff!
I feel revigorated! I'm sure this is ONE experience! Now I don't want to put my clothes on again. "D'you reckon they'd allow us to take pics here? I feel like posing..."
...Abricó Beach is a MUST!

I did this in Sitges, Spain a few times - really quite liberating. Although you have to make sure you where plenty of sunblock.
It removes all tan lines though and swimming is much easier - but I was worried a fish would come by and bite it off!
hahahaha, I'm glad the jellyfish didn't ting my not-momentaneusly-private parts..lol
