So, I heard about the new update of the gaydar chat function so I decided; having been an avid fan of the webiste and used it for many years constructively; discovering it was named a 'cool brand' - whatever that means (this is coming from someone who went to a college that too is a 'cool brand') - it was time to return and check it out.

I had tried during the beta test, due the the limited amount of people (none) using it, it turned out to be a waste of time. So, with the official launch I was excited! Well, the User Interface is cool, easy on the eye and to navigate. Clicking on people's names and seeeing their stats and image is great. Seeing the reader pane of the main window is well designed and it's easy to see how it simplifies the gaydar hunt.

However, usability is shocking. Seriously - it is a change of format entirely and for longtime users this is causing strife - especially having watched the comments for 5 minutes and the stream flourished. Anyway, returning for the second I am more apprehensive. My problems are

1 - searching through the list, especially as it refreshes every 2 seconds when someone enters

2 - chating, how do you pvt? I don't get it!

3 - freezing, twice - in 5 minutes - on a bloody Mac. Sorry if it doesn't work on a Mac it's not worth it!

So, gaydar - sort it!
