For those who are regular visitors to Gaypedia you may have noticed that I took a break in my contributions.  This was due to the fact that I was involved in a move from New York to Buenos Aires.  I will still be splitting my time between the two as I was before, but now instead of 9 months in NY to 3 months in Argentina, I'll now be based here in lovely and hot Argentina (okay the weather is still a bit cool, but the City is hot) and only return to NY for short periods of time.  I hope that this will allow me to really update the information from not only BsAs (BTW that is how you abbreviate Buenos Aires) but also add information on other South American locales. 

So as my first installment on advice to those thinking of visiting this great country, I will offer a bit of advice and information.  BsAs has many gay venues (many more than have been uploaded here as of yet) but the city has no single gay ghetto or neighborhood.  Most gay venues are located in the Palermo, Ricoleta and Downtown areas.  Once you get the hang of it, the city is very easy to get around and finding places will become a snap.  But to the new visitor it can take a day or two to get the lay of the land.  So I suggest that you go to  http://www.bleucards.net/map.html and download their map.  If  it's your first time here, I would suggest you start out at a place like Sitges, it gets very crowded and you will be able to eye some fantastic looking boys, meet them and see where the party is going that night and follow along.
