The London gay scene is extremely active, with many gay bars and clubs springing up in and around the city. Many celebrity supporters, including Madonna and Elton John, have performed at such venues to popularize these Gay bars.

With the homophobic attitudes of old slowly evaporating, the gay scene seems to develping positively. Every year the gay pride parade and festival which is an outpouring of the excitement and colour of this vibrant community. The Gay movement is increasingly popular and it can be picked up by the mushrooming of gay bars in numerous cities, including the famous gay bars of Amsterdam and San Francisco , but also in places like Singapore and Sydney.
