Equality

Male homosexuality was a crime in Scotland until 1981 when it was decriminalised.  With the introduction of the Civil Partnership Act in 2007, which gives gay couples the same legal rights as heterosexual couples, one of the first four gay couples to enter into the ceremony was in Aberdeen.     more
