San Diego

The San Diego International Airport (also know as Lindbergh International Airport or Lindbergh Field) is the busiest single-runway airport in the US.The Airport is serving over 17 million passengers every year.

It is located on the San Diego Bay three miles from downtown and you can fly to where ever you want in the US as well as Mexico,Hawaii and Canada.

In addition to this Aeromexcico offers a shuttle service from San Diego to General Abelardo L. Rodriguez in Tijuana, Baja California Mexico.

The main transportation is the car (80% of the residents are using the car). Therefore you will find an extensive network of highways and freeways, including 5 Interstates which run south to Mexico or north to Canada.

By reading this it might wondering that only 37% of the streets are in  acceptable driving condition.

Also there is public transportation in place like trolley, buses, coasters and Amtrak. The trolley mainly serves downtown and the Amtrak and Coasters trains connect San Diego with Los Angeles,Orange County,Riverside and Ventura via Metro Link,

In other thing you can do is, is cycling as there is an extensive network of routes in place.

As San Diego is located at the coast you will of course find a harbour called Port of San Diego.

Here you will find several cruise ship companies as well as cargo companies which import from South America as well as motor vehicles from Germany,Italy Sweden and Japan.

The largest shipyard on the West Coast of the US called National Steel and Shipbuilding Company is located in this harbour.
