A substantial number of Gay communities in Argentina happen to reside in Buenos Aires .There are a large number of stylish restaurants and cafes in Buenos Aires. The Buenos Aires Gay Pride will be commencing from 4th of November and will last till 7th of November. The parade will be held in the streets of Buenos Aires on first Saturday of November. Both the openings as well as the closing ceremonies of the Pride event are very popular and famous. As many as fifty thousand people coming from different countries are expected to attend this Pride Parade. The parade is traditionally associated with lots of dancing and music.

The basic aim behind having the Buenos Aires Gay Pride is to promote equality and diversity of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. Each year the prides have different themes or slogans. For example the Slogan for November 2009 was “Freedom and Equal Rights – No Code of Offenses” and for the 2008 parade the slogan was “Vote Our Laws”.

 The first Buenos Aires took place in 1992. The slogan for this first pride event was “Liberty, Equality, and Diversity”.  Every year, large number of artisians, poets, street musicians and different kind of performers attend and take part in the Buenos Gay Pride parade .This makes sure that there is lot of fun and entertainment for all those who are taking part in the parade. The event, every year turns out to be a memorable and exciting one. Every year the pride parade began in Plaza de Mayo. The Buenos pride parade aims at promoting gender identity and sexual equality.
