Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade/Dallas Gay Pride is one of the biggest, enthusiastic and energetic gay pride festivals in Texas, United States. Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade is the formal name for Texas Gay Pride/Dallas Gay Pride. The parade marches in and around of Dallas. Dallas is the third-largest city in Texas and the ninth largest in the United States. The Dallas Tavern Guild is take care the gay pride operations. The association took over the pride in 1982 and celebrated in September in each year. The Gay Pride is called as Texas Freedom Parade. It was later given by a new name in honor of one of the parade's key architects, the former Guild director Alan Ross. Since from 1983 the Alan Ross Texas Freedom Pride Parade and Festival’s is held in third Sunday in September last time it was on September 18, Sunday 2011.In 2012 it should be on September 16, Sunday(date may change). The Dallas Gay Pride festival began from 1972.
