Cape Town Pride is a Section 21 Non-Profit organization whose aim is to motivate and raise awareness on every side issue which has effect on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex communities of South Africa. Cape Town Pride Festival is the annual celebration of Cape Town, South Africa which will be started from 24th of February 2012 to 4th of March 2012 in Cape Town. The Cape Town Pride was born in 2001.In 2004 festival was postponed to Feb-March since that is the perfect time for tourism. Because of this move the festival now earns the greatest profit from tourism. Cape Town Pride is one of the largest and enthusiastic LGBTI events of South Africa.  The aim of the pride is to celebrate LGBTI customs and to celebrate the variety since the removal of prohibited status of racial segregation. In December 2010, the LGBTI community of South Africa formally introduced their own official South African gay flag at the annual MCQP event which held in Cape Town. The flag was launched and designed by Henry Bantjez and Eugene Brockman of Cape Town.

Cape Town Pride festival includes the Pink Ball, the Red Party in Cape Town Gay Bars and Clubs, sports events, Pride Pool Party, Cape Town Pride Divas, Book Fair and Beach Picnic, OIA Film Festival and Mr.  & Miss Gay Pride Pageant .The Pink Ball is one of the important events which also focus on raising funds. Cape Town Pride Divas will also be celebrated as part of the event. Profits from the Cape Town Pride Festival were donated to the Pride Shelter Trust. This was settled in 2009 and is the first shelter for LGBTI community.
