Cologne is a very gay friendly city and will be having a Gay pride event from 6th to 8th July in 2012.  Cologne gay Pride is also known as the Christopher Street Day, CSD. It is held   in Cologne (Köln / Koeln) and attracts hundreds of thousands of gay men and women from all over Europe. It is one of the largest Pride events for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people in Europe and is  an important international scene event

The CSD Cologne Pride festival consists of various cultural events. To mention a few, there is the AIDS-Hilfe on Friday, the street festival in the Old Town and the parade through the Cologne inner city on Sunday. The celebration last for the entire weekend. Also there are various parties   held during the celebration. The festival is attended by people not only from Europe but from many different countries as well. 

Multi-faceted program from all areas will be offered during the event. Some of the options that will be there for entertainment during the festival are: movie shows, sports competition, parties, seminars and various other cultural events.
