The Folsom Street Fair is held as a part of the San Francisco's Leather Pride Week celebration. The street fair is in fact one of the major and most important attraction of the San Francisco Leather Pride Week. The next edition of the Folsom Street Fair will be beginning on Sunday 29th of July 2012 at Folsom Street between 7th and 12th Streets, San Francisco, USA. There a large number of gay bars, clubs and organizations were various theme based parties are held during the festival. The event is organized jointly by the collective efforts of volunteers, board members, staff persons and sponsors. The event is well attended by people from different countries.

As a part of the celebrations provision for many adult booths is made. At these booths the tourist can take pictures with the actors and purchase DVDs’, beside various other options. There are also other demonstrations such as how to flipper and/or whip, using an equipment of straps and similar related things. The formal Leather Dinner is also an important part of the festival. 

 Folsom Street has a large number of bars and restaurants. Apart from participants belonging to the leather community the festival is interestingly also well attended in large number by straight people as they. The reason being that they are often interested in getting a glimpse into the lifestyle of the gay and lesbian people. The music street constitutes of a die-hard gay/leather group. Folsom Street Fair is a must for serious people who have interest in leather fetish. The event has indeed managed to go a long way in promoting the cause of the people belonging to the LGBT community.
