Buenos Aires is supposedly one of great gay destination of Argentina. Argentina also happens to be one of the gayest friendly cities in entire South America. The Buenos Aires Gay Pride will be a four day long event which will start from 4th of November and will last till 7th of November. As a part of the festival a grand parade will be held in the streets of Buenos Aires on the first Saturday of November. The openings as well as the closing ceremonies of the Pride event are very popular and famous among the local as well as the international tourists. The event is organized by the “Buenos Aires gay group”. This Gay association was formed in the year 1969. The popularity of the parade is evident from the fact that around fifty thousand people, both local as well international visitors, will be participating in the Pride Parade. The parade is traditionally associated with lots of dancing and music.

The objective of the organizers behind having the Buenos Aires Gay Pride is to make genuine attempts toward promoting equality and diversity of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community thereby making the society more tolerant toward gender and sexual equality. Each year the prides have different themes or slogans. For example the Slogan for November 2009 was “Freedom and Equal Rights – No Code of Offenses” and for the 2008 parade the parade slogan was “Vote Our Laws”. The first Buenos Aires took place in 1992. The slogan for this first pride event was “Liberty, Equality, and Diversity”. Many artesian, poets, street musicians and various performers attend and take part in the Buenos Gay thereby filling the event with lot of fun.
