Hamilton Gay Pride is held in Ontario every year in mid to late June. The name of the organization which plans this event is an association called the “Hammer Pride Alliance”.  Various different voluntary and non profit organizations which worked for gay rights   came together and formed this association .The association works towards   promoting the acceptance of people belonging to the LGBT community. The association also takes steps to ensure that the general community is able to realize the hardships and difficulties faced by the gay people. Various community efforts are made to help in reducing the discrimination faced by the gay people. The Hamilton Gay pride event is one such event which contributes toward bringing equality for people from the LGBT community.

The Pride event is a week long celebration taking place on an annual basis. The timing for the event is mid to late June every year. A wide range of cultural events are held during this week long festival. The festival also constitutes of certain fund raising events. People coming to take part in this gay pride event will also have the option to go for shopping and avail of exciting offers offered especially for this event.
