The “London Gay Pride” is one of the biggest and the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community celebration of London. The next edition of the festival will be held from 5th of July – 8th of July 2012 at Central London / Trafalgar Square, London, UK. The most important and major part of this celebration is going to be the Gay parade.  Beside the parade the event will be consisting of several attractive parties. The Parade will be starting off from Baker Street and it will proceed forward down Oxford Street and Regent Street. The parade will be passing through some of the major sites of London as it moves round through Piccadilly to Trafalgar Square. 

Pride London was organized for the first time in the year 2004. In its very first year, around 30,000 people attended the parade which was followed by a campaign rally in Trafalgar Square. From this small starting, the Pride London has now increased at an astonishing rate and today it has turned into one of the United Kingdom’s biggest and the largest LGBT event. 

 The pride has different and new themes every year. Some of the themes for previous years were ‘Come Out and Play’ and ‘Carnival of Love’. For 2012, the organizers have announced a competition which is open to everyone for choosing the theme.

The pride event is expected to be attended by approximately a million people. The pride celebration includes lots of music, dazzling performance by local talents, DJs mixing, dances, stalls etc. The festival will go a long way in promoting issues concerning the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. During this festival there will be various kind of fun activities, parade and diverse types of cultural activities.
