San Francisco Gay Pride is one of the colourful and conspicuous gay pride festivals in the world and also one of the biggest gay pride festivals in the United States. It’s commencing from 23rd of June to 24th of June 2012 in San Francisco's Civic Centre area. The lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) pride festival takes place on Saturday (12:00pm to 6:00pm) and Sunday (11:00am to 6:30pm).The pride includes 200 parade troops, more than 300 vendors, artists, exhibitions, music, some comedy acts, the trans  homo hip-hop, and 19 stages and venues etc.

SF have different themes for each year (like “Pride, Not Prejudice”, “In Order to Form a More Perfect Union...",” Forty and Fabulous”,” In Pride We Trust” etc…). The 2012 San Francisco Pride theme is, "Global Equality" and was chosen by the Pride's membership at their Annual General Planning Meeting in September.

The main events of the prides are San Francisco Pride celebration and Parade. The parade would starts at 10:30 am & the route of the Parade is from Market Street and passing through Beale and then ends at Market and 8th Street in Downtown San Francisco. The pride is requesting people to donate $5 at gates. By donating the amount your support is essential in helping to maintain the SF pride free and open for all economic background people. The donation also helps the community organization to become stronger who working on the issues belongs to the LGBT community, breast cancer, and HIV/AIDS. By donating you will also get $1 discount on beverages throughout the celebration.

San Francisco city has lots of gay bars, gay popular restaurants, hotels, shops and during the pride celebrations these all are entertained the people with fun and entertainments.
