World Pride 2012 is being organized by InterPride. The motive of World Pride 2012 event is to encourage the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and tries to overcome the issues on an international level by arranging parades, festivals and other cultural activities. The InterPride is an association formed by coming together of the coordinators of various Pride events. The association meets in its annual meeting, decides the venue for the Pride festival. London hosts World Pride 2012 and which will be held in London from 23rd of June to 8th of July 2012 at the Trafalgar Square. The first edition of the WorldPride event was held in Rome in the year 2000. After a gap of five years, the second World Pride was held in Jerusalem in the year 2006. It is remarkable one that the event is going to be held at the same time when two other important events, namely the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebration and the London Olympic games ’2012 will also be held.

The organizers also arrange some small events in World Pride London like theatre shows, debates, poetry, music and partying etc. During this Pride festival the main parade will be organized on 7th July 2012. The festival will last for two weeks and is expected to be attended by approximately a million people. After the Parade the program extend from Oxford Street in the north to Shaftsbury Avenue in the south. The route of parade will begin from Baker Street (the detail route not available). The festival will go a long way in promoting issues concerning the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
