The Regenbogen Ball event is held in the Imperial palace in Wiener Hofburg, Vienna, Austria. It is basically a charity event which is organized by Austria’s gay community. More than 1,500 Gay, Lesbian, and Transgender guests come for this Ball event during the Viennese ball season .There is a main live orchestra along with many other contemporary bands and DJs. The midnight quadrille is an event in which guests dance in unison under the instruction of Master Wolfgang Stanek.
The ball event is organized by the tried and tested team of the Homosexual Initiative (HOSI) Vienna under the leadership of Christian Högl. The event will be a sparkling night of music and dancing which promises to be great fun and entertainment for all.
Christof Cremer will be the artistic director whose artistic direction will make the classical ball a memorable experience. The opening dancers, from the dancing school Stanek, will not be strictly adhering to traditional ball clothing. To provide a wide range of music throughout the night, there will be several orchestras of different genres, with a focus on the rhythms of the 1920s to 1940s, 1970s and 1980s.
The net profit made through the Rainbow Ball will be used to support the work of the HOSI Vienna and to finance several LGBT causes, such as HOSI Vienna’s educational project “Peer ConneXion”, the “Regenbogenparade” and the “Vienna’s pride parade”. Though the Standard ticket has been priced at € 70 per ticket, a discounted price of € 40 per ticket are available for pupils, apprentices, students and senior citizens upon showing valid social ID as proof.
