Frankfurt spends more on the arts than any other European city, and the gay and lesbian population certainly don't miss out. The Rainbow Quai is a three-day event on the bankside of the river Main between the Untermainbrücke and Holbeinbruecke bridges, which follows the amazing Rainbowbridge party. The event offers music, food and other entertainment. The organisers decorate the area beautifully and a line-up of DJs keeps the crowd on their feet. Visitors can also expect some gastronomic highlights - all prepared by gay chefs. The event has proved hugely popular in its short history and with two million people expected to trawl through the streets of Frankfurt looking for high culture or just a party, this is a colourful and ebullient three days.
