However, the festival is known by different names in different parts of USA. In Bisbee in the state of Arizona, the festival goes by the name of Bisbee Pride. The city of Bisbee has a sizeable population of gays and the festival serves as a communal space where they can exhibit their life style in comfort. The festival of Bisbee pride allows them to mingle and interact with like minded people.

In the year 2009, the Bisbee Pride festival was held between June 19 and June 21. It is one of the largest celebrations in the region. The most important event in the festival is the Pride Parade. The Pride Parade was initially started as a protest march to fight for gay rights. However, now, being a part of the Pride festivals, it has taken the shape of a grand and colorful rally attended by walkers, dancers, floats, etc. The festival is also celebrated with live music and dance performances and is an event of great pride among the gay population in the region.
