Every year thousands of LGBT people move to Amsterdam to celebrate the Queen’s birthday Pride 2010. There are dances and fun and gala time. The celebration offers enjoyment with parades, Carnival floats, decorated canal boats, DJ music, fireworks, street theatre and many more activities. In token to the royal family, people wear orange color outfits to join the celebration. This is the celebration of Princess Juliana’s birthday, the Queen’s day Pride.
Other than these celebrations, around the Homomonument and Reguliersdwaarsstraat a lesbian and a gay version run. For children there are arrangements for amusement at the Vondelpark. The celebration starts from the night of 29 April and goes on till the next day evening. If the lookers are lucky they can get a glimpse of the present queen too. Lesbians and gay from hundreds of nations participate in this event and make preparations long before the date of the event. There are separate groups for locals and the royal category people.
