Belfast has been gearing up for this year’s Gay pride with a lot of activities lined up to celebrate the occasion. This is the time of the year when people from the Gay community get together to celebrate the gala event. The Pride parade marks the beginning of the fun and gaiety. The organizers of the parade have sent out open invitations to everyone urging them to join the parade in colorful costumes. The participants can bring banners, flags and just whistle away for the entire parade. The organizers are also selling T-shirts, specifically for the occasion.

The event starts at the Custom Square at 12 noon. If you are a spectator, make sure that you occupy a good place along the Donegall Place or the City Hall to catch a good glimpse. An added attraction of the entire event will be Baroness Titty Von Tramp who will be joining in the fun activities with an entourage of clowns. Like every year, this year’s pride has a theme too and it is ‘Outer Space’. However, for the participants in the parade, since this is illegal to consume alcohol or be intoxicated while on the road, participants must not carry or consume alcohol on the parade.
