In the 35 years since Pride in London began the LGBT community has truly 'come out'. 2005 saw the introduction of Civil Partnerships for same sex couples and we have recently seen the end of other homophobic laws including Section 28. Pride is fully inclusive and now embraces our growing acceptance in the world of politics, business, media and entertainment. However there is still a long way to go and Pride is committed to tackling issues including bullying, discrimination and homophobic abuse.
Pride London is now in its Fourth year as a registered charity. The organisation is run by volunteers. Our aim is to produce a highly professional Pride Festival and an annual Pride Day comprising a Parade through central London, a politically based Rally and free entertainment in central London. Our mission is also to raise awareness for the LGBT community
