Members of the Gay community in Hanover are bracing up for the grand event on 28th August, 2010—the Hanover Gay pride. The organizers have lined up a series of events and activities to celebrate the occasion. The event begins sharp at 12.30 noon. Between 1400 hours and 2200 hours (when the pride will be celebrated), stage performances have been scheduled. Additionally, the organizers have scheduled a grand parade through the city and the members of the community will be dressed up colorfully to march through the roads. The participants do not have any dress code as such and one can expect a lot of variety and colors. The pride is expected to culminate with a party at a city hotel which will be decided later. However, drinking while on the parade is illegal.
