Overwhelming success of last year’s events, Leicester Pride is again in a position to return to the city on Saturday 4th September 2010. this year it is being expected that Leicester Pride is going to be more bigger and at the same time more rich in content prior to last years event. The ever growing support and acknowledgement from Leicester City Council and the LGBT community has helped immensely in keeping this mission live year after year.

This year it is being decided that the parade will be taken through the heart of the city to the site of the festival in Belgrave Gate. Then from there on it will expand to the adjacent streets where more and more shopping complexes and malls are present there to add to the attraction.
A prolonged discussion with the consultation with members of the Leicester Pride Facebook groups, the committee is swollen with pride to declare this year’s events will have a “fairy tale” theme. The main course of the big day formally starts from Saturday, 5th of June, 2010. The fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland” will be the themed event taking place in cities each and every gay venue.
