Bristol is an urban city in UK with around 40,000 gays, lesbians, trans population & bisexuals residing in it but without any permanent pride festival for them. But it is now going to hold its first official gay pride festival in between 14-22nd August this year. This festival has the backing of both the organizers & Bristol city council that are appealing to volunteers and businesses to help create a successful pride in Bristol. A dedicated team of LGBT business people including representatives from Bristol City Council and Somerset & Avon police are working relentlessly to develop a gay Pride in 2010 to be remembered for ever. The pride Bristol festival aims to bring equality & celebrate diversity among LGBT community members & make significant progress towards their acceptance by the society.

The LGBT community for people of the South West is planning to organize Bristol Pride 2010 for an entire week. Starting in 14th August, the pride festival will offer a variety of cultural & entertaining events & end with a grand free festival at Castle Park on 21st August. This pride festival will add to the mood of party goers as they will have easy access to it in the heart of Bristol city centre. This first time pride in Bristol assures to bring people wholesome fun through an extensive list of entertainment ‑­

programs including theatre, DJs, international music performance, high-end fashion, community related events & much more.
