The IMG which stands for International Mr. Gay competition is the biggest as well as oldest running intercontinental challenge to choose an Ambassador or spokesman to sustain the mission of the sponsoring nonprofit business, the Noble Beast Foundation. The president of Noble Beast Foundation is Don Spradlin. He is the person who founded as well as produced the first three competitions. He owns a dedicated team of several volunteers. Their main mission is to support International Equal Rights by verifying the necessary nature as well as contributions of gay men to a fit civilization where "gay" is not a typecast.
International Mr. Gay competition was started in 2004 by Don Spradlin with an original challenge in California as well as San Francisco. Initially, it was called the "Cutest of the Castro Contest". In the beginning, it was 12 men signifying local businesses in the gay region of San Francisco recognized as the Castro District. All these 12 men were judged on-stage for the duration of the 2004 Castro Street Fair. That time, the winner of the contest was Blair Sheppard who later became the San Francisco agent to the primary United States Mr. Gay contest in October 2005.
