The US has some of the most open, gay accepting communities that you can possibly find. The Western seaboard or the West coast of the US in particular has a lot to offer to gay communities as it hosts some spectacular events targeted at gay empowerment and fighting for gay rights. Some of the most thriving gay community meet annually in Las Vegas for one of the largest and most powerful gay parades in the United States. The very ostentatious Las Vegas is a core area for portraying such powerful parades that have a message empowering gay rights and acceptance. There are people visiting Las Vegas from all over the world and the parade that is being held this year for a period starting from 11^th April 2009 to 3^rd of May has an exposure about gay rights and empowerment like no other.

There is a lot that can happen in these events and they are designed so there is something for everyone. Lesbians have a separate corner that offers interesting treats for lesbian lovers overlooking some of the finest scenery in Lone Mountain Park. Kids too have a lot going for them and these parades serve up a host of treats and candy that the kids can keep feasting on. It is also a very useful place for educating kids about gay rights so that they can grow up to be more open minded and also be aware of their own sexual rights. There are also large fund raising events that are generally contributed to poor gay communities and they are mostly conducted at well laid out night clubs. The Risque night club will also play host to some interesting gambling sessions that are a favorite in these parts. For the fancy of partygoers there are several parties that happen all over at select locations around the Las Vegas area, including some very unique pool parties where the lesbians generally have a ball.

San Francisco, another key gay populated area in the United States also plays host to a pride parade. The San Francisco parade if anything is bigger than the Los Angeles activities, and owing to the fact that SF is the gay capital of the United States, it is obvious why such activities are given special importance in the area. Places like the Civic center is where the parade takes off and also houses some of the hottest concerts around, featuring artists such as Cindi Lauper in the previous years, this has become an event that people have started looking forward to. On 27^th June 2009 the new parade for the 2009 season kicks off and is sure to offer something for any gay couple out there. The event will also be a conglomeration of sorts of various cultures and people from many parts of the world who will get a chance to mingle with foreigners and learn about new experiences. The west coast has always been home to such outstanding gay parades that seek to put forward so much in favor of gay communities worldwide.
