What a city!
Gazi is definitely the place to go if you're looking for loads of trendy, stylish bars, they don't call it Ga(y)zi for nothing, hehe. Yet, Athens generally offers an incredible amount of modern interiour design opposed to its beautiful ancient setting. One of the most intriguing things I encountered was how busy the park "National Gardens" just behind Syntagma was. Literally crowded with shadows of men cruising around.
Generally I can only say: What a city!

Can someone recommend a gay hotel or gay friendly hotel in Athens? Thanks guys
sorry... we stayed in a residential apartment. You might want to consider this, in case you're up for self-catering.
Weather was fantastic and we managed to really chill out. We stayed in an Accor hotel - didn't hunt out specifically gay establishments mind, prob due to the fact by bf gets discounts with Accor.
However, Accor seemed non-bothered by our apparent gayness.
A new gay hotel of the city apartment style is Alexander apartments at Gazi...they have great apartments plus a free visit to the nearby sauna called Alexander..have fun
