Farfalla: one of the best places in Cannes

I have been to Farfalla lots of times - it is local to me and I love it.  It is one of the best places to hang out in Cannes: perfect for a quick cocktail or bite to eat prior to going to the theatre or a dance night (run in the summer) at the Palais des Festival just opposite.  Also perfect for a lunch away from the beach.  Or a cocktail pre-dinner.  In fact, there are lots of excuses for going to Farfalla, but the people-watching is one of the biggest draws.

Walking into Farfalla is wonderful - you leave behind the fur coats and pretentiousness of Cannes and immerse yourself in a hip, trendy atmosphere with attractively dressed people and more attractively dressed staff!

Food is fabulous - a good mix, with great steaks and salads.  And the brochette de gambas is very tasty indeed.  They have a reasonably priced table d'hote which has a range of choices for each course.

I marked the service down a little - there has not been much wrong with it, however I made the mistake of popping in there last night (Valentine's Day without realising it!) and the staff were pretty stressed.  However, I might have been a little harsh because in 30 times of going there this is the only bad service that I have had.
