The opening of Village Soho (Bar) in 1991 was a milestone in the history of Gay London. Groundbreaking in its look and style, the Village has been an influence behind the way Soho looks ever since. For the Gay community of pre-1991 there was little choice of attractive places to go. This all changed with the opening of the Village in December 1991, and with it a change in style and culture that predominates today's London 's Gay scene.
