Checkpoint is an information centre & shop, which also offers health advice for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and those interested, in Cologne. Checkpoint is situated at the heart of the Gay scene at Heumarkt, so that visitors to the city can also find us easily. From the central train station, take the 132 Bus to the "Heumarkt" bus stop. Alternately, take any tram that stops at "Heumarkt". The Checkpoint Team Staffed by a total of 25 volunteers, we provide not only comprehensive information about Gay/Lesbian life - answering any and all questions whenever possible - but also we also stock a wide range of Gay/Lesbian merchandise. The Checkpoint Health Team a team of doctors and social workers, working together to offer comprehensive advice on all Gay/Lesbian health issues. Up to the minute information on risk and risk management, whether your question be about sexually-transmitted diseases, HIV-related issues, PEP, drugs, tattooing and piercing, sexual stimulation, etc. We will also help you to find Gay-friendly doctors, therapists or self-help groups and/or provide you with leaflets, etc. about HIV/AIDS, arrange for a personal appointment or simply listen.
