The Davie Village Café and Bar is in the heart of the Davie Village, in beautiful Vancouver B.C. We are small town "big time". We exist for our community, reminding us all that being diverse is specail. We are not like most of the rest, we are not interested in "fancy shmancy", we are into friends and fun. At the Davie Village Café and Bar everyone is welcome. In the hustle and bustle of the world we live in, if you need a hug or somewhre to chill, the DVC is that place.

The true feeling of Vancouver is still like a small town located on the west coast, eben through we are Canada´s third largest city. With the large patios overflowing with lush green plants setting for people watchers, as well as for friends to meet. With great foot, fabulous libations, upbeat music, combined with the energy of our staff and guests, the DVC´s atmosphere will draw you back time & time again.

Our walls are adourned with artifacts that represend the Davie village and the people that helped along the way in the changing of laws, the fight for inclusion, the AIDS epidemic, making our streets safe from bashings, the creation of parades and the pride from raising money to fund all the societies involved. As you walk through the DVC don´t be surprised to see pictures of old friends, programs from coronations, leather posters and old sashes & crowns or places that are no longer.

As life would have it we all need a hair cut. As Andy´s barber Jimmy found himself looking for a home to cut hair and Andy thinking it was time to start developing the 3rd floor ot the house, the collaberation began. Now the DVC is the 1st and only place you can have a pint or a coffee while you wait to get your trim. Strange but a perfect match! Jimmy works on a first come first  serve basis and the place is set up so that if you need to wait you can enjoy the fellowship in the cafe. Someone wil always tell you when its time for your cut.
