There are no exclusively gay bars in Dubrovnik given the relatively conservative attitudes of the residents there. Café Troubadour, however, is a very gay friendly venue, attracting both gays and lesbians as well as a mixed straight crowd. Whether you’re gay or not, the venue is one of the hotspots of the city, being one of the most famous jazz cafes in Europe. Though the prices are a little higher than elsewhere due to its popularity, and the tourist crowds here tend to get bigger every year, it’s a cool and funky place to hang out with a beer or a coffee of an afternoon, listen to live music, and keep an eye out for ladies and gentlemen of your chosen persuasion.
