Florence’s gay scene is not massive, and so it’s hardly surprising that there are more clubs for men than for women, as this seems to be the pattern. Crisco is exclusively male and draws a mixed younger and older crowd of men looking to cruise and dance. Set in an eighteenth-century building, the club has a bar and a dancefloor, as well as a dark room and plenty of dimly-lit corners and nooks for you to get to know your date a little better without causing too much of a stir. As well as this, there are regular drag shows and male strippers to keep you entertained of a weekend.
