There is a serious lack of gay nightlife in Crete, so if it’s camp clubbing you’re after, you may want to head elsewhere. There are, however, a number of gay villas and apartments, and so at least you know you’ll be accepted in your accommodation. The Zeus Xenios Villa is 20 minutes away from Heraklion, meaning that if you want some action and hustle and bustle, you can head into town, but you are far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. Every room comes with a fridge, DVD player and balcony, and all rooms as clean, light and airy. There is a barbeque outside for chilled out al fresco home cooking, and great views of Heraklion from the balconies.
