This funky little bar is a gay institution in Rome. For 20 years it has drawn crowds of mostly younger gays and lesbians, of all walks of life, to party under its rainbow flag. With Coming Out being a relatively small venue, often the party spills out into the street under the shadow of the awesome Colusseum. There are plenty of events to keep the crowds entertained, with drag nights, Miss Lesbica and Mr Gay competitions, live music, live DJs and 80s nights. The look and attitude is casual, a little shabby, and very endearing, and overall it’s a great place to start out before moving on to a club later in the evening.
