The Impulse nightclub on the Indianola Road in Des Moines is a men’s club that mainly caters to the people of the LGBT community. However, this club is also open to anybody who is up for a smoke free environment. The club was formerly known as The Frathhouse. This club has a sleek look with touches of silver everywhere. Most of the main room of Impulse is open for dancing. However, for those who need to take a break from the dance, the club also has high metal bar tables. The place also has benches at a VIP area just off the dancing area. The club plays good Techno music.

The club has an open, friendly atmosphere. Impulse mainly appeals to a late weekend crowd and remains open from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. from Wednesday to Saturday. On Sunday, the club of Impulse remains open from 3 p.m. in the afternoon to 2 a.m. in the morning. The Impulse club is simply a great place to hang out, dance, drink and enjoy a good drag show and thus attracts a young crowd everyday.
