The Barbara bar is a gay bar located at Laugavegur 22 on Reykjavik city center. The two storied bar is a good place to visit if you want to see the queer nightlife of Iceland. The staff is very friendly and will look after you. The bartender of Barbara bar is an expert in mixing drinks.
The Bar also hosts special attraction on some nights with fun themes but her speciality is DANCE - the doors open at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and the dancing lasts way into the night. For the rest of the week she gets her beautysleep on.
The atmosphere of Barbara bar is very warm, friendly, crazy and fun. It is very popular amongst the gay crowd in Iceland and also amongst gay friendly people who just love to dance.
The reasonably priced drinks, the friendly staff and the welcoming atmosphere are some of the features which made Barbara bar the happening place in town.

COMMENTS OPENING HOURS:
Barbara is the Queen of the weekends. She opens her doors at midnight Friday and Saturday but stays in hybernation for the rest of the week. Her little sister - gay café/bar Trúnó is which is right downstairs from her is open every day of the week.
