In the early 1980’s a small group of guys decided to form a club and a 'safe place' for gays and their friends in London. Since 1983, the Long Yang Club has developed as an international network of groups with thousands of members. The London group is now a substantial player on the gay scene being the only group to focus on the Oriental community here. They were invited to take part in various events including meetings with the Mayor of London on equality issues. It developed a Club Night and Karaoke, Sports Groups and various other one-off activities.
