Berlin
In March, gaypedia took a trip to Berlin to participate in the largest travel fair in the world and meet other gay travel specialists. It was an intensive four days but we managed to meet many new people to share information with us and to develop gaypedia’s content.
We took to the city and trawled the remaining signs of the Berlin Wall, learning its history and visiting the Holocaust Memorial for gay and lesbian people. This slated-coloured rectangular monument, designed by Danish-Norwegian artists Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset, contains a window that invites the visitor to look inside and see a film of a homosexual couple kissing. The film changes every two years.

Andorra
Andorra – Gay Ski Week
In March, gaypedia took a trip to Andorra, the principality between France and Spain, to experience Glamour Ski Week organised by Original Andorra.
With Tim from Gay In The UK on Afterelton.com, the Travel Show on TVPolari, 3Sixty Magazine and our friends Gay Travel we experienced the slopes, hotels, shopping centres, food and the most amazing spa we’ve found in the world so far.

Pride Events
Gaypedia now has a comprehensive listing of pride events across the world. Take a look at the site and choose your places to party this summer.
The easiest way – is just go to the Search Box and type in Pride to discover countries and cities with their own celebrations you may not have known before.
If you run a pride event, or we are missing your own local celebration then go ahead and ‘Add’ it!
Miami Beach Pride
It has been more than a decade since this gay hot spot has held a gay pride event but the festivities are definitely back.
Running from 11 - 19 April, Miami Beach Pride’s main parade takes place on Saturday 18 April but during the week you can join in talks, discussions, networking sessions, fundraising events or the extravagant celebrations.
Antwerp Pride
25 - 28 June 2009: Antwerp Pride is a city-wide gay and lesbian event with a multitude of parties, sports events, exhibitions and cultural fairs.
Beside the main party events: Navigaytion (the biggest gay party event on and by the water), A Hard Night, Falcomfair, Café de Love, this year's edition offers an important contribution from major museums as well as LGTB organisations. Simply bringing together such diverse groups, sometimes diametrically opposed to each other and with their own worldly wisdoms and interests, can be termed an unexpected success.
Antwerp Pride symbolises collaboration and togetherness, no intolerance but respect for each other and an awareness that we can achieve more together.
Diversity is a strength of Antwerp, or as the Antwerp people say :"the city belongs to everyone"
